Allowing mobile subscribers to respond to campaign SMS require that the company behind the campaign uses a virtual phone number as sender. Spirius have had Swedish virtual numbers for a long time but recently expanded to 48 countries, all with their own virtual numbers.

– It looks better to use a local number where the service is used and it becomes cheaper to respond to, says Jonas Rexeke, CEO of Spirius. This is preferable if your customers are located in several different markets.

An additional function, only available in Sweden at this point, is to be able to add up to 4 digits to the number, which means that you can get up to ten thousand unique addresses – what we call Extended Virtual Number. A great feature if you, for example, have a lot of employees who wants to be able to send SMS messages from their computers and receive SMS replies.
